Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American journalist. She is employed by ESPN as the SportsCenter anchor for news. She joined ESPN in the year of 2016. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is native to two languages. From the age of nine years old, her ability to speak two languages has led to her obtaining a job in Miami as an assistant producer at Univision. As an assistant producer she was given the chance to be a part of national show producers such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Following this she was hired by the CBS station in St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter on KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. Anchor duties on sports and weather was often asked for. Then she became the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given more responsibility. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. She became a sports host on the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. In the same role as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on November 22, 1985. There is an older sister. In 1992, the family moved to Miami following the move out of Mexico to the US. Then, shortly afterward, her parents separated and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. In June of 2006, she took a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta was a senior in high school who had a vision of how she would like her life to look like, traveled to Mount Union University in order to find out whether the university was suitable for her. As it turned out she loved the school and that they had the kind of program she was searching for. She completed her schooling and was accepted into the University with a degree studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU and WRMU, which she is a member. They formed a strong relationship. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
